Short answer
An AI receptionist costs a fixed monthly fee with us: from €99 per month for the entry tier to from €1,000 per month for a custom enterprise setup. Most businesses land well with the Growth plan at €299 per month. No hidden costs, no setup fee on the entry tiers, cancellable monthly. You start with a free pilot, so you know exactly what you’re getting before you pay anything.
What sets your monthly fee is mainly how much you call (call volume), how many systems the agent has to connect, whether you want extra languages, and whether you also make outbound calls. Below we break it down per tier, plus how to work out whether it pays for itself.
In one sentence
You pay a predictable monthly fee for an employee that always picks up. Not per call, not per stray minute you couldn’t see coming.
The four plans
We work with four clear plans. You choose based on your call volume and how many integrations and languages you need, not on an opaque timesheet.
For small businesses that mainly want to catch missed calls. One language, calendar connection, no setup fee. Ideal to start after your free pilot.
The most popular plan. More call volume, multiple integrations (calendar, CRM, booking system) and room to grow. No setup fee.
For busier lines and multiple locations or branches. Higher volume, extra languages and broader integrations included.
Custom for high volume, outbound campaigns and complex integrations. Priced on your situation, always agreed in advance.
Volume above your plan’s bundle is billed per minute, and that rate is always agreed with you in advance. You never find a surprise on your invoice. Want to understand the service itself first? Read what is an AI voice agent or see the AI phone answering service.
What drives the cost?
Four things determine which plan you fall into and what you pay each month. So you know where you stand up front.
How many calls you get per month and how long they run. Every plan has a generous bundle; anything above it we agree per minute in advance.
The more systems the agent has to reach (calendar, CRM, booking system, database), the more work in the setup. One connection is entry level, several sit higher.
English only is entry level. Want Dutch or another language on the same line too? That lifts you into a higher plan.
Just answering is inbound. Want the agent to call out too, for confirmations, reminders or callbacks? That adds capacity.
The biggest cost driver in a voice agent isn’t the voice — that’s cheap now. It’s the reliable connection to your systems and the guardrails that ensure the agent never says the wrong thing. How that connecting works is covered in connect your AI voice agent to your CRM and database.
Per minute or per month — which is smarter?
In the market you’ll broadly see two pricing models. The difference mainly determines how predictable your invoice is.
- Per minute: you pay for every call minute. Sounds fair, but your invoice moves with every busy week. At peak times, exactly when the agent delivers most, the bill climbs hardest. You don’t know up front what you’ll owe.
- Per month (fixed): you pay a predictable amount with a generous bundle. You know at the start of the month exactly where you stand, and you’re not “punished” for a good, busy month.
We deliberately choose fixed per month. It’s friendlier for your cash flow, and it takes the brakes off: a busy month won’t blow up your invoice. Only genuinely exceptional volume above your bundle is billed per minute, and you know that rate in advance.
Watch for hidden costs
Don’t compare the monthly fee alone. Ask about setup fees, per-integration costs, surcharges for languages and what happens above the bundle. With us there are no setup fees on Starter and Growth, and every overage rate is agreed in advance. Transparency is the whole point.
Compared to a human receptionist or answering service
To weigh the pricing, it helps to set it next to the alternatives — in general terms, since every situation differs.
- An in-house receptionist costs a full-time salary plus employer overhead, and still isn’t there in the evening, at weekends, or during holidays and sick days. One person also takes only one call at a time.
- An external answering service often charges per call or per minute, and usually just takes a message — no booking in your calendar or looking into your systems.
- An AI receptionist handles unlimited parallel calls, 24/7, in your tone, and acts directly in your own systems. For a fixed monthly fee well below a full-time hire.
The agent doesn’t replace your whole team. It catches what would otherwise be lost: the caller during a treatment, the evening demand, the peak when no one can pick up. See also AI receptionist for salons.
Does it pay for itself?
The math is easy to run for your own situation. Think about what one missed booking costs you: a customer who calls, gets no answer, and goes to the salon around the corner. Work out what an average treatment or order earns you, and how often per week the phone currently goes unanswered.
For many businesses, one recovered booking already covers a large part of the entry plan. Recover a few a week and the question flips around. This is illustrative reasoning, not a promise. The real numbers come from your own calendar and rates.
And because you start with a free pilot on a test number, you see the effect before you pay anything. Want the broader business case? Read AI automation. Curious about the cost of the tech underneath? See n8n pricing.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an AI receptionist cost per month?
With us it starts at €99 per month for the Starter plan, €299 for Growth (the most popular), €699 for Business, and from €1,000 for a custom enterprise setup. You pay a fixed amount, no per-call surprises. You start with a free pilot and it’s cancellable monthly.
Are there setup or onboarding costs?
On Starter and Growth we charge no setup fee. For Business and Enterprise it depends on the number of integrations and the complexity; whatever that costs, we always agree it with you in advance. No costs ever appear on your invoice that you didn’t know about beforehand.
What happens if I call more than my bundle?
Every plan has a generous bundle. Go above it and we bill the excess per minute at a rate we’ve agreed with you in advance. So you’re never caught off guard by a spike on your bill.
Is an AI receptionist cheaper than a human receptionist?
For a fixed monthly fee that sits well below a full-time salary, the agent handles unlimited parallel calls, 24/7, and acts directly in your systems. It doesn’t replace your whole team, but it does catch what would otherwise be lost. That’s usually where the cost pays for itself.
