A New Community Founded for God Fearing Techies
The technology sector moves fast. New companies appear every day, founders raise capital, and software reshapes industries. Yet many founders search for something deeper than business success alone. They want values, purpose and a network that shares the same worldview.
The goal is simple but powerful. Bring together people who build companies and who also want their work to reflect their faith. Because most people in tech have already succeeded financially. That’s not in their ambitions anymore. They want to contribute to the good of the world. And the world currently is full of division. It is full of polarization. And that polarization is also orchestrated by tech. So the tech founders of now, they are very influential. This is why we need to get together to think about what we can do to fight the oil stain that is spreading around and poisoning everyone’s minds.
Why Christian Tech Founders Started
Every founder faces pressure. They deal with product launches, funding rounds, hiring decisions and market competition. However, founders often face those challenges alone.
Marrallisa noticed something during her work with startups and founders. Many Christian entrepreneurs worked in the tech sector, yet they rarely knew each other. They built companies in isolation. They have a lot of good initiatives, but most of the time they try to execute it on their own. They get caught up in their own enthusiasm in the beginning, but later on, it’s difficult to finish something because it is just too much to carry alone. So even though the idea may be good, you just don’t have the attack power to finish it all.
God started it. Marrallisa just followed what God proposed her to do.
The idea is straightforward. Create a place where founders can meet others who understand both entrepreneurship and faith. As a result, the group creates a space for meaningful conversations about business decisions, leadership, responsibility and long-term impact.
Christian Tech Founders focuses on three pillars.
First, connection. Founders meet others who share their worldview. Because it is wonderful to connect with fellow techies and it is also wonderful to connect with other people who believe in God. But finding the two in one room is very difficult sometimes. And if you find that, you have hours of material to discuss.
Then, growth. Members exchange knowledge about technology, startups and scaling companies. Tech founders always think positive and impossibilities. So if you get together, only good ideas can grow from that.
Finally, accountability. Members encourage each other to build companies with integrity and purpose. If you’re a fast thinker, it is difficult to find people who can really challenge you. And if you can find people who can challenge you, they may not always be led by God. And this is exactly where Christian Tech Founders is such an explosion of identity for the people who have joined it.
How CTF started
Marrallisa Kreijkes leads Viralistic Digital Agency, a digital agency in Amsterdam that works with companies on growth strategy, websites and brand positioning.
However, her work with founders revealed a deeper need within the tech sector. Many builders want guidance and connection that aligns with their beliefs.
Therefore she launched Christian Tech Founders as a network where entrepreneurs can talk openly about leadership, ethics and faith in the context of technology startups.
The group does not position itself as a church or ministry. Instead, it functions as a founder community where business, technology and Christian values meet.
A Community for God focussed Builders in Tech
Christian Tech Founders welcomes a wide range of members within the tech ecosystem:
-
- Investors interested in faith-driven founders.
- Designers working on platforms and applications.
- Founders who are building startups.
- Developers who create software products.
- Operators who help scale technology companies.
Because of this mix, conversations within the group remain practical and founder-focused. Marrallisa also believes that the power of this group is also the curation, because everyone in the group is really on the same level. The conversations stay interesting. There's no ear beating. There's only complete understanding.
Members discuss topics such as:
• startup growth
• fundraising
• leadership decisions
• ethical product development
• long-term company vision
However, the difference lies in the shared foundation. Members approach those topics through the lens of faith and responsibility.
Events and Founder Meetups
In addition to the community itself, Christian Tech Founders organizes meetups and gatherings where members can connect in person.
